This is ravi from chennai, i bought Nokia BH-505 head set.
I face the same problem unable to pair the headset with my laptop, i use win 7 OS.
I tried the below steps and it works fine now i can listen the songs and also chat in mic.
1. install the bluetooth software Bluesoleil in Win 7 OS.
2. Now press the power button until the blue light blinks continously
3. Now search for the bluetooth device from the Bluesoleil software
4. Nokia BH-505 will be detected, now just right click the BH-505 icon and select the pair option
5. It will ask for the pass code. Enter "0000" and ok.
6. Now ur headset will be sucessfully pared
7. Doucle click the Nokia BH-505 icon, the headphone and headphone& mic options will be enabled
8. Now double click the headphone icon , connecting popup will be displayed. Now press the play button in BH-505. Ur headphone will be connected.,
9. Again double click the headphone & mic icon, connecting popup will be displayed, again press the play button. Ur heaphone & mic will be connected.
So u can use ur headphone and mic confortably and enjjoy.
