Title sequence runs for GD Tigres TV. It shows many goals scored by players in pre-season games as well as news about the club. It finally finishes with a voice narrating over the footage on screen.
Voice- GD Tigres a club new to the Portugal DTL. A club steeped in history. From humble beginnings in a lower league to finally qualifying for the DTL this club continued to defy the odds this time with a stunning performance against the Supercopa Champions Nocturnos.
SMatos was a force to be reckoned with in the centre of the field. He controlled the pace and fed his strikers with pin point passes. Established already as a world class player Smatos lead by example scoring the opening goal for his side early on in the tie sending the away portion of fans crazy. But for many of the fans in attendance they were interested to see how their latest additions would stack up against the DTL Elite of Nocturnos. And they would not be disappointed.
For the EGO HAD INDEED ARRIVED!!!
Sion was in the right place at the right time to pick up Marco Veddi’s searching ball in the 18 yard box and he made no mistake with a powerful volley into the net. This sent the fans into further hysteria. Already the game had seen them go 1-0 up and then have penalty given against them for it to be saved. But PDomingues was on hand to show like he had earlier he was determined to spoil the party for Tigres with a late equaliser.
With the full time whistle blown what can the Tigres fans take away from this performance. Well lets ask the team captain SMatos
Question 2 - scoring on the opening goal of tigres season how do you feel the next game will go for TIGRES?
The team played well, like a warriors and play to get the 3 points, but is great "stole" 2 points in the pitch of Nocturnos. In the next game, I hope the same dedication in the next match.
Question 1 - So how do you feel the new additions have done in their first game for Tigres?
Veddi and Sion started in our game very well, very activity and very interest in DTL, in-games thay don´t play in pre-season, but made a fantastic start against Nocturnos.
Veddi and Sion appeared to catch the eye of the captain but have they caught the eye of the fans?

As you can see the fans have already inbraced both of those seasoned veterans. But the question that must be on the tip of everyone’s tongue is are they still not friends?
Veddi- I feel we played well. With heart and hunger. Smatos was great.Sion found the net so hats off to nim. I felt I could’ve played a little better myself but this was my first game in 7 years I guess I will build on this and hopefully find the net in my second game.
Interviewer- So are you and Sion back on talking terms?
Veddi- To be honest we shook hands at the end of the game and when he scored I celebrated with him but other than that there was not much said. But I can say that I respect him as a athlete. It’s hard not when you arrive at training an hour early to work on your own regime and see he’s already there setting up cones and working on his technique.
Just imagine if these men are not on talking terms and we have seen how to linked up on the pitch im sure it can spell bad news for other teams if they manage to put past behind them. For Tigres fans this is sure to be an eventful season.
